Spruce Peak at Stowe is a planned-for-pleasure community in the heart of Vermont. Front Four Residences at Stowe Mountain Lodge is a fractional ownership development nestled at the foot of Spruce Peak and Mt. Mansfield. Each season offers a new side of the area: in winter snow blankets Mt. Mansfield, the highest mountain in Vermont; spring promises fly fishing, golf and even more skiing; summer’s warm weather is ripe for golf and hiking; and autumn offers up a dazzling palette of colors. A dining and retail esplanade are being completed, and the lodge will open in Spring 2008.
What’s For Sale
The Front Four Residences will occupy the top two floors of the Stowe Mountain Lodge. The private residence club is offering 34 shared residences in two-, three- and four-bedroom floor plans. Most units sprawl over two floors, and range from 1,975 to 3,025 square feet. Fractional shares start at $359,000, which will secure buyers two weeks of summer usage as well as two weeks in winter. An unlimited number of space-available visits are also allowed year-round.
What You Get
Each of the Front Four residences pairs Alpine aesthetic with modern convenience. High ceilings, expansive windows, and balconies make the most of the mountain views. In addition, each residence includes a gas-fireplace, marble bathrooms with soaker tubs, a washer and dryer, granite countertops, stone flooring in the kitchen and foyer and Berber-style carpeting in other living areas.
Owners of Front Four residences are granted access to all the amenities offered by Stowe Mountain Lodge. Valet and concierge services, 24-hour room service, twice-daily housekeeping, a private elevator, priority dinner reservations and child care service are some perks of ownership. In addition, a 21,000 square foot spa, gym and wellness center will be open to residents. While in residence, each owner is entitled to Platinum membership at the Stowe Mountain Club, which includes complimentary lift tickets and exclusive tee times at the Bob Cupp-designed golf course.
Helium Report Take
The Front Four Residences offer all sorts of amenities to buyers, but it’s the Stowe Mountain Lodge’s dedication to green living and sustainability that makes it stand out from other fractionals in New England. For example, Bob Cupp’s 18-hole golf course is the first in Vermont to achieve Audubon International Signature Sanctuary certification. The lodge was built using eco-friendly practices, and even the rooms and restaurants have been furnished and decorated by local, environmentally friendly artisans. This commitment to mother nature is also evidenced by Spruce Peak at Stowe developing only 35 of its 2,000 acres.
This Vermont ski town is also a popular east coast hub for destination clubs. High Country Club, One Key, Ultimate Resort and Private Escapes all have homes in Stowe.
Another option is the Villas at Trapp Family Lodge which has one-twelfth shares of homes in Stowe, or private residences clubs in other Vermont ski hubs like Jackson Gore at Okemo. The Front Four Residences represent one ownership opportunity available at Spruce Peak. Whole-ownership condominiums (ranging in size from 525 to 2000 square feet, with the prices ranging from $350,000 to $1.51 million) are also available at the Lodge, as well as 38 three- and four-bedroom “cabins,” which start at $2.4 million. A limited number of homesites are also available, starting at $1 million.
