The Grand Cascades Lodge is a very nice resort and only an hour from New York. The golf is excellent as is the David Glenz golf school there. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the New York Metro area. The wine cellar at their Latour restaurant could possibly be the best in the country. There were more than 100 wines that were rated 100 points. And true to the restaurants’ name, i have never seen a better selection of Latour wines – even in France.

Suggestions

Spa was not open when I was there, and the fitness center at the hotel is small. However, there is an immense fitness center at their sister property which is nearby. It's not a Four Season, or even a Ritz - but for the price and convenience it really can't be beat.
