Aspen was amazing in so many ways. Around this same time last year I secured the Aspen Town Home for this year’s ESPN-X Games. I remember thinking how fun it would be to take my son Travis and his two best friends to see the ESPN-X Games since they try to go every year. They usually have to stay in Glenwood though… so making accommodations closer to the games was a really big treat. Not only do these three like to attend the X Games and watch the snowboarding events but Travis has played lacrosse, attended middle school and high school with Will and Tobias for the last six years. In the past one parent has always taken the boys to the X Games. I have always said it would be fun for the moms to all go up with the boys and ski while the boys attend the X Games and commemorate all of our friendships. Of course, all were blown away by the Quintess, LRW experience: our smart house that operated off of a little remote (fireplace, lights, music and TV); great amenities (robes and slippers, the ultimate kitchen with our groceries all nicely waiting for us, the boutique style shampoo and lotions); the privileges (a parking pass for the Little Nell, use of the Aspen Club, and access the Caribou Club); Erin, my Member & Travel Advisor; and Pamela, the hostess with the mostest, surprising Tobias with flowers and a birthday cake for his 18th birthday, which we celebrated on the 26th while there. (I just happened to mention the birthday to Erin in passing and she remembered it and passed the info onto Pamela. Need I say more…) This moms-with-oldest-child trip was just picturesque and the cutest thing was us three moms coming home from our night on the town and seeing the boys in their robes and slippers just lov’in it—they had just come from the Jacuzzi. I think they felt so regal and grown up. Travis has thanked me a hundred times already. So in turn, thank you to my Club team for working so hard to make sure we would have the best experience while staying in Aspen. I am so happy I was thinking ahead and made reservations for the townhome, not only because next year the games are moving to Utah but also us three moms had a chance to spend some quality time with our three boys before things get to hectic with graduation and them all going their separate ways in the fall to college. What a Hallmark memory for all of us. Quintess Rocks!
