I concur wholeheartedly with the earlier review. These guys are great. I owned a fractional share with Flight Options and when my contract was up, FO sent me a valuation for my share of the airplane that was 60% below what I paid for it. They included a lot of paperwork that they said supported the valuation, but I couldn’t understand it. I had cut out an article by James Butler, the CEO of Shaircraft, from Business Jet Traveler magazine that talked about how owners can protect themselves in these situations, so I called him. After about ten minutes on the phone, I knew that they could help me. They’ve contested a lot of these valuations and Mr. Butler explained how Flight Options’ methodology was wrong. Shaircraft valued the airplane independently and came up with a much higher value and, when Flight Options wouldn’t agree to compromise, Shaircraft brought in its own appraiser. In the end, I got a lot more for my share than Flight Options originally offered. I mean real dollars. Being able to draw on both the legal and the aviation experience that Shaircraft provides was the key. They really fought for me. I recommend them without hesitation and when I jump back in with a new investment, I’m definitely going to use Shaircraft. They’re the best.
