Joined Lusso late last year and could not be more pleased with the experience. The quality and availability of the properties has been truly incredible: we have already had 3 stays (La Jolla, Tahoe and Copper Mountain), and have gifted one to our parents (La Jolla again). We currently have four other trips now pending in 2008 (Scottsdale, Naples, the Bahamas and Deer Valley). All of the properties we wanted, even skiing and beach in the “high” season, were widely available and easily booked. Incredibly, we had no trouble at all reserving a premier property in Deer Valley for Thanksgiving. On of our biggest concerns about joining a club was the issue of availablity on short term notice, but after a few months in Lusso we can state unequivocally that they did not disappoint. Moreover, the quality, location, cleanliness and size of the properties has been very impressive, and we have already had comfortable stays with groups of 10 and 12 guests (and we’ll never forget the experience of getting on the private elevator at Great Bear in Tahoe and having the doors open in the spectacular and cozy living room of our home—awesome). Can’t say enough good things about the experience so far. I will write about the financial model in a separate review.
